While working on this collection, I found inspiration in the gorgeous Spring days in Charleston - the warmth of the sun, the aroma of blossoming flowers, the sound of nature awakening. All such rejuvenating forces that invite us out and also create a desire to invite the outside in - to open our doors and windows. Literally and metaphorically. I found myself drawing several different types of pitchers for this collection. To me, they feel like a symbol of hospitality or togetherness. A cold beverage enjoyed with friends. A beautiful arrangement on the kitchen island. Spring suggests this certain feeling of wanting to be with others. A feeling of wanting to welcome in people. Wanting to welcome in change and growth.
