Posy 01
Details
I always thought a posy was a flower, but it turns out it’s a small bouquet! In the Victorian era, each flower had its own meaning, and posies were known to convey messages through the specific combinations of blooms. When I learned this, I knew “Posy” was the perfect title for this floral painting; it is simple and sweet, and at the same time has enough complexity for you to find your own meaning in the details. These abstract blooms coexist with a geometric background.
Acrylic and collage (fabric and paper) on 140lb cold-press watercolor paper.
Wood frame included
Artwork: 11"x14”, Framed: 12"x15"x.75”.
