Cassidy Montgomery
So excited to share this week's Guest Curator, Cassidy Montgomery. She is the face (and guru) behind popular design & lifestyle account Home on the Web. We love her style and can't wait for you to get to know her.
Please introduce yourself!
I worked for an Interior Design firm for 10 years (before retiring to have my 3rd bebe). I absorbed so much from that season of my life and I needed a creative outlet to let it flow. Hence the creation of HOTW. It’s become my place where I can share my interior ideas and all the finds that are too good to keep to myself.
How would you describe your style?
Totally Transitional. I mix antiques with lucite. Target with Spitzmiller. If I love it I will make it work!
What is inspiring you these days?
Spring on the horizon!
What is your favorite thing to collect?
Vases, all shapes all sizes.
What makes a house a home?
The people in it. Pieces with memories. Art that makes you feel something. And a mess everywhere you look.
Read on for Cassidy's favorite pieces from our inventory....
1. Baby Blues by Taylor Black
This piece caught my eye with its abstract elements mixed with the almost photographic painting of the building. I would hang this in our sunroom/breakfast room so the full natural light would make it pop even more.

2. Get My Good Side by Kristen Shearer I’m partial to Kristen’s work because I have one of her pieces hanging in our dining room. I love her color combinations and use of shapes. This piece would be so awesome getting full attention over a mantel, in a room with a lot of traditional elements.

3. Stay Here by Kirsten Williams The colors of this piece are so striking to me. I love the peep of olive. Mixing abstracts in with botanicals on a wall is something that always works in our house, I would hang this near a huge vintage botanical panel in our living room.
